Twin Creek Books started as something for a warehouse crew in Dayton, Ohio to do in the slow months. It got out of hand, in a good way.
Here is the deal. Every bundle in this store is a random pull of real, already-read kids books in the kind you picked, sorted by hand, packed by hand and shipped with the label already in the price. You pick a kind and a size. We pick the titles. Starting at about a buck a book.
The books come from recyclers, thrifts and online sellers, the ones that would otherwise end up in a landfill or as dollar store toilet paper. We would rather they end up on your shelf.
A mom with a seven-year-old, a nine o'clock bedtime, and the feeling that she is not doing enough. You are. This is the easy part. A stack on the nightstand that does not run out, and the screen can wait till morning. Teachers paying out of pocket, homeschoolers, daycares, church nurseries, Little Free Library stewards: same bundles, same deal.
Two things we believe, out loud. Every kid deserves a book at bedtime. And nobody should be banning books. If that second one costs us a customer, we will live with it.
One more thing.
Buy a bundle, and another kid gets a bedtime story. One book given for every bundle sold.
I'm Greg. I'm the one writing this. The crew does the sorting, which is the hard part.
This is a product that makes the world a little better, not just something to sell. We do not get to say that about everything we ship, so we are saying it here.
Thanks for buying used. The kids do not know the difference, and the planet does.
